Hi Friends...
You may have noticed that my digiscrap creations have gone from few to none over the past couple of months. I've taken on some new writing projects and digital scrapbooking has taken a back seat. Along with the extra work, I've found that maintaining multiple blogs, social media accounts, etc. is also time consuming. So, I've decided to merge them all into one: MandyLouWho. This way I don't need one separate account for each area of focus: designing, writing, art prints, etc. As I move forward in each - whether for fun or for business - it will be through this one website and its related social media accounts.
I will still be offering freebies; however, they will not all be digiscrap specific. I will offer a variety of digital and printable freebies. Please be patient as I use what time I have to get the new website set-up complete. If you have any thoughts or even suggestions, please don't hesitate to share. You can always e-mail me or contact me via the new site. I won't be monitoring this blog in the future, but will leave it published so others can still have access to the freebies that are already here.
Thanks for understanding! You guys are great. Have a super blessed day!
♥ Mandy

Pixelscrapper May Blog Train: Hello
Hi friends! Welcome to the Pixelscrapper blog train for May! We have lots of great contributions in an awesome color palette. If you collect all the parts, you will have lots of digiscrap for all kinds of layouts. You can find the full list of contributors at the Pixelscrapper forum.
I usually do a mini kit, but decided to try my hand at a layout template this month. Part of the fun of a blog train is allowing myself the room to try new things. CU ok.
I also put together a cute little set of 2" button flairs that you can grab over at my Facebook.
Happy blog-hopping!

Designer Challenge - Roll the Dice
Hello...
Guess what? I have another freebie for ya. I've actually been taking it easy the past couple weeks and haven't designed much at all. I decided to roll the dice on a challenge while browsing Pixelscrapper. I rolled a 5 and a 6, so I had to make a mini with 5 papers and 6 elements - no other details.
I sat on those numbers for a few days before feeling like a little travel fun. With the weather warming up here, I can't wait to do some traveling. I ♥ road trips. I really wanted to keep the colors non-girly enough to give you mommas of boys something to work with. So...the only "flower" is simply some paper shapes, string and a button. :)

Layout Template Freebie
Happy Friday Friends!
I was so excited to see the awesome collab freebie in my newsletter from P&Co last week, that I couldn't wait to use it. I grabbed this sweet pic of my niece taken last month at my daughter's birthday get together and went to work.
I ended up with this layout, highly inspired by my Pinterest browsing. I was super happy with how it turned out. After sharing it over at Pixelscrapper, a couple girls mentioned it would make a good template - and that was enough for me!
So, here's the layout template in layered .psd .tiff and .pngs. You can use for whatever purpose you like - PU or CU. I might mention that I'm not a pro over here and this is only the second template I've put together to share, so if you see a hiccup please let me know. Oh - and don't mind my crazy shadow layer. You gotta do what you gotta do...lol!
Enjoy and share with your friends. :)

Scraps N Pieces Blog Train - April
Hey y'all! Hope April has been good to you thus far. It's been wonderful here with the weather warming up, the sun shining, grass turning green and trees finally starting to bloom! I can't wait to see them full of pink and white blossoms.
This month's blog train from Scraps N Pieces has a lovely color palette that I"m sure you can use in a variety of layouts. There was no theme, so each designer either omitted one or selected one of their own. I went with "little things" because for some reason the softness of this palette reminded me of appreciating the little things in life.
With that, here is my portion.
I hope you get lots of uses out of this month's blog train. Here's the full list of contributors:

Sweet Spring - Color Challenge
Happy Saturday everyone!
I came across a sweet little color challenge over at Digital Scrapbooking Studio and decided to give it a try. I suppose it's like a blog train with one color palette and theme, except the members of that community are to download and create things out of your challenge part instead of the usual "blog hop."
Anyhow, here's my "Sweet Spring" mini that came out of it. I couldn't decide if I wanted real foliage or the paper leaves, so I went with both...lol!

Designer Challenge - Layer Styles
Hi everyone! Hope you're having a great week. I've been super busy - getting one kiddo ready for prom, one getting ready for baseball season, and the two youngest just registered for kindergarten! Whew...we have a lot going on around here.
Busy as we can get, when I saw this designer challenge at Pixelscrapper I just had to get in on it. The challenge? Layer styles! I've only played around with making a few layer styles, so this is still pretty new to me. But I do ♥ using them. I've grabbed quite a few freebies from around the web and now this is my chance to give back.
This is a pretty simple one. I went with a style for stitching. I use a lot of stitching in layouts and designing and they're not always "real" stitches. So more often than not, I have to apply a texture and bevel to give it a more realistic look. And that's exactly what these two styles do. One is a small bevel with light fabric texture and the second is a larger bevel with a thicker fabric texture.
The styles will work with any color (well, except white...you can't really see the texture on white). If I could figure out how to make a shadow style that would work on top of these styles, I would've included those as well. However, every time I tried to apply the shadow style on top of one of these, it wiped out the stitch style and only applied the shadow. :/ Any ideas how to fix that?
Anyway...here ya go. Two styles in one .asl file and metadata included for PSE users. These are also commercial use friendly!
Hope you find them useful! Enjoy and have a great rest of the week. :)
