Scraps N Pieces Blog Train - April

Hey y'all! Hope April has been good to you thus far. It's been wonderful here with the weather warming up, the sun shining, grass turning green and trees finally starting to bloom! I can't wait to see them full of pink and white blossoms.

This month's blog train from Scraps N Pieces has a lovely color palette that I"m sure you can use in a variety of layouts. There was no theme, so each designer either omitted one or selected one of their own. I went with "little things" because for some reason the softness of this palette reminded me of appreciating the little things in life.

With that, here is my portion.

Simplicity | Mini Kit Freebie

Hi friends...

Welcome to the second week of January 2014! (Have you written the year wrong yet? lol.) We just got back from a quick family, post-holiday trip to Pittsburgh, PA. It was our first time visiting and a lot of fun, but oh so cold! It will be a great place to visit in the summer, especially since it's only a few hours drive. Four kids in the car can't handle much more than that. ;)

I finished this mini kit before our trip but didn't have time to get it out to y'all. The start of a new week is always a good time for something free, isn't it? I think so. It seems to have worked out perfectly then.

The latest Pixelscrapper designer challenge called for a mini kit, so here it is. I love color, but feel like I have been working with A LOT of it lately - bold colors, bright colors, all kinds of colors! I wanted to tone it down a bit and work with a neutral palette for this set. As you can see it's very neutral and as the name implies, simple. I hope you can use it on its own, as well as integrate it into layouts made with other kits. These neutrals are very versatile and will work well with many other colors.

This mini includes: 6 textured pattern papers and 12 elements. The paint strokes come as shown, as well as individual .pngs so you can mix and match however you'd like. You can find the coordinating solids in the Simply Love Scrapbooking store.

Sorry, this link has expired. You can find the mini kit as well as the solid papers pack at my Simply Love Scrapbooking store.

Winter Bliss Mini Kit - Pixelscrapper Designer Challenge

My first designer challenge. In fact...my first mini kit, first papers, first almost everything here. It was definitely a challenge and I can truly appreciate the time and energy all you digital designers put into your work. It's so easy to sit on the receiving end, but I never imagined so much work went into putting something like this together. Coordinating colors, ideas, patterns...fun stuff!

Hope you find something you can add to your scrapbooking pages. Enjoy!

You can get the Winter Bliss mini kit at my Etsy Shop now for only $3.50!

Have a blessed day!
